CELEBRATE RESPECT HISTORY PROJECT May 7th

Slain and Tania where at the The Box Plymouth with a stall for the Plymouth History Festival, showing people what we’ve been working on with our Celebrate Respect - History Project, funded by National Lottery Heritage Fund.

This project aims to archive the Respect Festival in Plymouth since it started in 1998, with oral history interviews and collecting artefacts. After the two year project, it will be permanently archived in The Box.

The Plymouth Respect Festival has been very important for Plymouth as it has brought diverse communities together in celebration and fun.

We had over 100 people come along and talk to us about the project and it was great be part of the Festival.
