Theatre Royal Plymouth's 'Summer at the Scene Dock' festival - with WonderZoo
WonderZoo will hold two events at ‘Summer In The Scene Dock’ at Theatre Royal, which is running throughout the whole of August.
Look out for an unmissable programme of outdoor events. The Scene Dock is the outside space at the rear of the Theatre, which will be turned into a welcoming hub of entertainment and community. Events will include live bands, quiz nights, DJ sets, theatre, cabaret, workshops, roaming performers, food vendors, bar and more.

WonderZoo Recycled Collage Art Workshop
This activity is part of ‘Summer In The Scene Dock’ and will be facilitated by Slain McGough Davey and Maile Mia Heart.
Join us for a creative journey celebrating Freedom, Colour, and Fun! In this eco-friendly workshop, we will explore the power of art to tell stories and express ourselves through the vibrant medium of collage.
Using discarded materials such as paper, fabric, and found objects, you'll learn how to assemble and layer to create beautiful, meaningful artworks. No prior experience is necessary — just bring your imagination and a playful spirit! All materials are provided, making this a perfect opportunity to connect with others, embrace sustainability, and have fun.
Together, we'll delve into themes of freedom and self-expression while fostering a sense of community and environmental consciousness. Come explore composition, storytelling, and the joy of creating with repurposed treasures!

Lorna McTavish, known as ‘Black Fire Horse Woman’ is a Celtic Elder, Drum Maker, and Pipe Carrier. Adopted by her indigenous Elder, ‘Dancing Two Eagle Spirit’, into the Métis Nation, Lorna will bring the fiery rhythm of drums alive in this ground-breaking spoken word experience.
