12:00 PM – 12:45 PM: Modern Life (Folk Rock)

Modern Life plays original folky/rocky songs about life, in an upbeat manner. Songs about today and society at large. Apparently we sound a bit like the Levellers.

12:51 PM – 01:21 PM: Drum Abundance (Drumming)

A vibrant, community-focused street performance group and percussion collective. They specialize in high-energy drumming displays, appearing regularly at regional street parties, charity gatherings, and community celebrations.

1:22 PM – 02:07 PM: Steve Oram and The Ohs (Spoken Word Punk Set – 45 mins)

Born from the wonderfully skewed imagination of Torbay poet Steve Oram. He found co- conspirators in Jay Brown on guitar, Alan Haden on bass and Julie Jones on Percussion. They have been described as John Otway and Ian Dury meets Pam Ayres down a dark alley"!

2:08 PM – 02:28 PM: Pete the Bear with John and Friends (Theatre with Music – 20 mins)

Pete the Bear is a locally celebrated, music-driven community theatre project and character. All local residents and their teddy bears are invited to attend the interactive show

 

2:45 PM – 04:00 PM: Headliners -Raggadee and Arash Torabi (Reggae)

A prominent musical DJ and selector duo active in the Plymouth, UK roots reggae, dub, and dancehall scene. Operating under banner projects like Reggae in the South, they are widely recognized for driving local independent club nights and community and Street festivals.

Join us for an enchanting acoustic showcase as community folk collective Josephine and Friends take the stage! this Plymouth-based group creates an intimate, welcoming atmosphere that celebrates local grass-roots music and community spirit.

1:00pm- Introduction — Cyrus Larcombe-Moore

Cyrus Larcombe-Moore is West Devonian Poet and filmmaker. A Foyle Poet of the Year, they have been shortlisted for the National Poetry Prize, and been widely published including by Stand Magazine, Pilot Press, Angel Exhaust, Young Identity, and Bloomsbury.

 

1:05pm- Jon Nash

Jon is a playwright and poet based in Devon. He's performed spoken word for Theatre Royal Plymouth, Plymouth Poetry Festival, Queer Out Loud and Milk Poetry in Bristol. Recent poems have been published in 'Homecoming' volumes 3 and 4 by Auroch Press. He runs ‘Write Out Loud for local LGBTQ+ writers.

 

1:20pm- Benjamin Brake

Benjamin Brake is a Plymouth-based writer & poet. His debut collection, Ugly Hedgehog, was published by Shoals of Starlings Press in 2024. Drawing from a screenwriting background, Benjamin’s work merges theatricality, introspection and surrealism to form a cinematic style to his poetry.

 

1:35pm- Rachel Gippetti

Boston-born poet, artist and educator who now lives in Plymouth, Devon. She is a PhD candidate at the University of Plymouth and is the author of two pamphlets, Birthright and When Everything was Red and Eaten. She was shortlisted for the Bridport Prize in 2022.

1:55pm-Elena Brake

Elena Brake is an artist, poet and mechanical engineer in training. She grew up in the small market town of Axminster. Elena's poetry is driven by curiosity, bringing technical learnings from mechanical engineering to observations of the natural and built world, with place and memory woven in.

 

2:25pm- R.C. Thomas

He has four books of poetry published and he’s appeared in creative writing journals all over the shop. He enjoys the smell of a car’s interior vinyl on a hot summer’s day but he doesn’t drive. He’s Plymouth Laureate of Words 2025 - 2027. On Instagram and Facebook he’s @rcthomasthings. On the wider web he’s rcthomasthings.com. He makes art too.
